Some call this dish goulash but I always known it as Mac & Beef growing up. Ground hamburger meat, onions, tomatoes, macaroni, and a few simple seasonings that you may already have in your pantry is all that is needed. Macaroni & Beef comes together in 30 minutes and is one of those meals that you should keep in your back pocket.

Mac & Beef Cooking Instructions
How to Make Mama’s Mac & Beef
I am going to keep this real short and simple – it comes together pretty darn quickly once the macaroni is cooked and drained.
Cook the macaroni in a large pot with salted water. 3 tbsp of Kosher salt will work for this since we are not cooking a lot of pasta.
Cook the Beef and Onions
In your favorite 10″ pan with decent sized sides, over medium high heat brown the ground beef and onions first in about a teaspoon of olive oil. Brown the beef first and add the onions when mostly browned and toss to combine. Onions should take about 5 minutes to soften,.
Time to Season and Add Tomatoes
Add the celery seed, seasoned salt and chili flakes if using. Pour tomatoes into the pan and add the Worcestershire sauce and stir. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
